Hawkins role generates Oscar buzz
Actress Sally Hawkins is generating an Oscar buzz for her role in Mike Leigh film Happy-Go-Lucky.

The 32-year-old recently picked up the Best Actress award at the Berlin Film Festival, as well as the Breakthrough Actress Of The Year gong at the Hollywood Film Festival.

However, she insisted that she is keeping her feet firmly on the ground and would be a "mess" if she won an Academy Award.

"I'd probably by that point be so disturbed I don't think it would come out making any sense. It would probably be the most embarrassing Oscar speech ever," she said.

Hawkins recently signed up to star in An Education alongside Orlando Bloom and Alfred Molina.
