Ryan Gosling is rumoured to be in line to play superhero the Green Lantern.
According to Latino Review, the actor is Warner Bros's top choice to portray the DC Comics character.
The movie, which focuses on a pilot who is handed a ring that wields huge power, was reportedly given the go-ahead by movie bosses last week for a 2010 release.
Gosling's acting credits include The Notebook, Fracture and Lars And The Real Girl. He was nominated for an Oscar in 2006 for his role as a drug addict teacher in Half Nelson.
