Jamie Foxx is in talks to join Gerard Butler in the cast of Frank Darabont's Law Abiding Citizen, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The thriller focuses on an assistant DA (Butler) who finds himself involved in a vigilante plot set up by a victim of the legal system (Foxx). Foxx's character plots revenge on the killers of his wife and daughter when they are set free on a plea bargain.
Kurt Wimmer (Ultraviolet) co-wrote the script with Darabont.
Darabont previously directed Stephen King adaptations The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and The Mist.
