Director Frank Darabont has reportedly quit the psychological thriller Law Abiding Citizen.
According to Ain't It Cool News, Darabont left the project prior to the casting of Jamie Foxx, with a source describing the split as "ugly".
Law Abiding Citizen focuses on an assistant DA (Gerard Butler) who finds himself involved in a vigilante plot set up by a victim of the legal system (Foxx). Foxx's character plots revenge on the killers of his wife and daughter when they are set free on a plea bargain.
Darabont is credited as a co-writer on the script with Kurt Wimmer.
