The Jim Henson Company is developing Happytime Murders, a film noir puppet comedy, reports Variety.
Brian Henson, the son of legendary puppeteer Jim, will direct the movie from a script by Todd Berger. Henson is producing alongside his sister Lisa Henson and Jason Lust.
The story is based around a puppet detective who is thrown into a murder case involving the kids' TV show The Happytime Gang. In keeping with Henson tradition, the movie will feature a cast of human characters.
Brian Henson's previous directing credits include Muppet Treasure Island and A Muppet Christmas Carol.
