Pitt linked to Homer's epic 'The Odyssey'

The studio's early hopes centre on a futuristic outer space telling of the story with George Miller directing, Variety reports.
The Greek poet's other Trojan epic The Iliad was the basis for the 2004 film Troy, which was directed by Wolfgang Petersen and saw Pitt taking on the role of Achilles.
The Odyssey follows on from The Iliad and tells of Odysseus's exploits on his ten-year journey home from war to his wife Penelope and son Telemachus.
Pitt is currently in Germany filming Quentin Tarantino's film Inglourious Basterds, which recently underwent a name change.
