Lionsgate has reportedly landed the Rush Hour director for its barbarian epic, currently titled Conan.
The film is based on Robert E. Howard's pulp character from the 1930s. John Milius directed 1982's violent adaptation Conan The Barbarian with Arnold Schwarzenegger as the eponymous warrior.
Dirk Blackman and Howard McCain have written the current draft of the script. Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer (Sahara) penned an earlier version.
