Craig: 'Credit crunch may hit Bond'

Daniel Craig is worried that the next James Bond movie will become a victim of the global economic crisis.

The actor makes his second outing as the super-spy in the forthcoming Quantum Of Solace but is concerned that the third movie in his four-film deal will be cancelled until the international markets stabilise.

"Economically the world is in quite a lot of trouble so who knows if we can afford to do another Bond movie anytime soon?" he told The Mirror. "I'm quite superstitious and I don't take anything for granted. I'd love to do another one, though. Love to."

Craig insisted that he would be able to cope financially without the film, adding: "I have all I need. Materialistically, I'm in good shape. I genuinely don't need anything."
