The director, who is currently working on the blockbuster sequel Terminator Salvation, has been hired to steer the first movie in the Dead Spy Running series.
The movie will be based on an upcoming HarperCollins espionage novel by British writer Jon Stock. It focuses on the origin story of a newly-trained spy.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story is a cross between The Bourne Identity and the work of novelist John Le Carre.
