Warner Bros plans 'Ninja Scroll' feature
Warner Bros has bought the rights to turn Japanese anime thriller Ninja Scroll into a live action feature.

Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way production company will produce the film with Mad House, Variety reports. DiCaprio is apparently not planning to act in the adaptation.

Ninja Scroll is set in feudal Japan and sees a wandering ninja fighting a conspiracy of demons.

Screenwriter Alex Tse, who is currently scripting film adaptations of The Winter Of Frankie Machine and The Illustrated Man, will write the script.

The action thriller anime original was released in 1993 and won the Citizen's Awards at the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival that year.
