'William The Conqueror' film in the works

A movie about William The Conqueror is in the works, according to Variety.
The historical epic focuses on William, the illegitimate son of the Duke of Normandy, as he becomes the English monarch.
William led Norman forces to victory over the the Anglo Saxons when they invaded Britain and fought in the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
"This is a big-budget studio movie. For many years we've been interested in a bigger canvas. It was just a matter of finding the right project," said Pamela Koffler of production firm Killer Films.
