The original Star Wars is to be released on DVD for the first time later this year.
The four-box set will include the remastered versions of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi as well as a disc of bonus footage and other extras.
The release will precede the release of the final Star Wars film, 'Episode 3', next summer.
"We know how long fans have waited for this release and how much they have been looking forward to it," said Jim Ward, executive producer of Lucasfilm. "So everyone has been working overtime to make sure that the Star Wars trilogy on DVD is an awesome experience."
The trilogy will hit stores in the US and Canada on September 21 with international release dates following soon after.
