The comic will play Lemuel Gulliver, the adventurous travel writer who ends up washed up on the island of Lilliput, which is inhabited by tiny people.
Rob Letterman (Shark Tale) will direct, while Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Joe Stillman (Shrek) are scripting, reports Variety.
The project will begin shooting in March and is expected to feature a mixture of live-action and computer animation.
