White in talks to helm 'The Losers'

Sylvain White is closing in on a deal to direct DC-Vertigo comic book adaptation The Losers for Warner Bros.

Losers, based on the series by Andy Diggle and artist Jock, follows a Special Ops team who are abandoned by their superiors. They set out to find out who betrayed them and wage war against the CIA.

White's hiring is expected to revitalise the action film, which has been left dormant following the departure of previous directors Peter Berg (Hancock) and Tim Story (Fantastic Four).

Berg and James Vanderbilt collaborated on the screenplay.

Renowned action movie producer Joel Silver is expected to oversee the project.
