The script for Spyglass's Ironbow: The Legend Of William Tell has been penned by Jay Wolpert, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story tells of a Swiss marksman who was forced to shoot an apple off his son's head in exchange for his freedom, having refused to bow to Austrian rule. Questioned as to why he had a second arrow in his quiver, Tell said it was to shoot the overlord had he missed the apple and killed his son.
Tell was arrested, but legend has it that he escaped and killed the overlord, sparking a rebellion which led to the formation of the Swiss Confederation.
Chadwick was behind The Other Boleyn Girl, which starred Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson.
