Foxx: 'I want to play James Bond'

Jamie Foxx has said that he wants to be the first black man to portray James Bond.

The Oscar winner told Access Hollywood that he would inject "swing" into the iconic role, as well as change 007's signature drink.

He explained: "Of course! I'd put a little swing in it. A little hip-hop, you know. Maybe not drinking martinis, but drinking some Hennessey maybe. Bond would drink dark liquor."

Foxx recalled meeting Daniel Craig at a recent awards ceremony, where he joked about taking over the superspy role.

He said: "I was in London and I had to give an award to Daniel Craig... and I went up and said, 'Bond. Black Bond'. And everybody just lost it. Black Bond would be cool."
