Olyphant cast in 'Crazies' remake

Timothy Olyphant has been cast as the lead in Breck Eisner's The Crazies, says The Hollywood Reporter.

A remake of George Romero's 1973 horror movie, the film revolves around a plane crash in a small Kansas town which unleashes a biological weapon into the water supply.

Olyphant (Hitman, Die Hard 4.0) will play the town's sheriff.

Ray Wright and Scott Kosar have written the screenplay, with Romero attached to the project as an executive producer.
