Rock: 'Brand won't return my calls'

Chris Rock has said that he would "love" to work on a comedy project with Russell Brand.

The American comic, who is currently promoting DreamWorks' Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, claimed he had already tried to speak with Brand about the possibility of teaming up.

"I would love to work with Russell Brand," he told Empire. "But he never returns my calls! He's too busy with the girls!"

Speaking about his adaptation of British comedy Death At A Funeral, Rock commented: "We're still working on the script. There are going be some differences, but it's a classic script so we don't want to mess it up.

"I don't want to do it a disservice."
