Parker: 'SATC2' may film next summer

Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed that a Sex And The City sequel may shoot next summer for a 2010 release.

The actress told MTV that writer/director Michael Patrick King has come up with a story for a second big screen outing, but denied that it will involve her character Carrie Bradshaw having a child.

She said: "[Motherhood] doesn't seem as if that's going to be a choice she'll make. It feels a little bit manipulative to toss that into the mix because she seems so pointed in a different direction."

Parker explained that she wants to be sure that the story is worth telling before moving forward with the new film, saying: "I would do these forever but is it right for the audience? Is this the story that we can tell well?

"These are the questions I have to ask myself or I'm not being fair to the franchise. That's where we are."

Parker added that a summer 2010 release date presents a "realistic timetable" as long as the story is refined "in the next couple of months".
