Summary
The 76th Annual Academy Awards ran nearly four hours long in a glamorous ceremony in Hollywood on Sunday. After two years in which the ceremony was distinctly muted - in 2002 due to the aftermath of the September 11 attacks on America, and in 2003 due to the war in Iraq - the red carpet was rolled out and the glamour returned in full force.
