'Rings' is Lord of the Oscars
Published Monday, Mar 1 2004, 05:08 GMT | By Neil Wilkes

The 'Best Picture' award rounded off an "incredible" evening, director Peter Jackson said.
"I'm so honoured, touched and relieved that the members of the academy have seen past the trolls and wizards and hobbits and recognised the fantasy this year," said Jackson.
The movie ranks alongside Ben Hur and Titanic in winning a total of eleven awards, although it has the distinction of being the only one of the three to have a 100% scorecard.
