Brolin: I snubbed 'Terminator' role

Rex Features

W. star Josh Brolin has disclosed that he turned down a role in sci-fi blockbuster Terminator Salvation.

The actor revealed to MTV that he refused the chance to star in the McG-directed sequel despite being impressed with the script and talking to leading man Christian Bale.

He said: "Yeah. I talked to Christian [Bale] for a couple hours. I really liked the script, though I hear that's not what they filmed. The one I read was very interesting and dark. Ultimately though, I didn't think it felt right."

Australian actor Sam Worthington was eventually cast in the role Brolin had considered.

Helmer McG recently told a German newspaper that Terminator Salvation will carry a running time of around 130 minutes.
