The Lord of the Rings trilogy will be released as a DVD boxset on May 25th, New Line have confirmed.
The set - pictured left - features the theatrical versions of the three movies and coincides with the standalone release of the final film, Return of the King, on DVD.
The set will have a simultaneous release in the UK and US, where it will retail at £49.99 and $89.99 respectively.
It is unknown when or whether a further box set featuring the extended versions of all three films will be released.
