'Sex and the City' film scrapped

Plans to make a film version of Sex and the City have apparently been abandoned.
The news comes amid reports that some of the stars of the hit series - which finished in the US last month - had demanded "excessive amounts" to return for the project.
Executive producer Michael Patrick King told reporters: "Nothing we did in the series was altered to save something for the movie. This is exactly the way we wanted to end the series. We're proud of what we did."
The TV series will now go into syndication.
