Of the 49 songs on the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences list, ten have been submitted from Disney musical High School Musical 3, including 'The Boys Are Back', 'I Want It All' and 'A Night to Remember'.
Jack White and Alicia Keys's Bond theme 'Another Way To Die', Bruce Springsteen's The Wrestler theme, Peter Gabriel's 'Down To Earth' from WALL-E and tracks from Cadillac, Australia and Gran Torino are also in contention.
The list will be whittled down in time for the 81st Academy Awards nominations announcement on January 22, with a maximum of two songs allowed to be nominated from each film.
