Matthew Broderick has said that he will never make a sequel to the comedy Ferris Bueller's Day Off because of his age.
The actor quashed recent rumours of a follow-up by stating that at 46, he would be unconvincing in the title role. He told The Star: "I can't play young rebellious guys anymore."
The 1986 comedy, which shot Broderick to fame, was written and directed by John Hughes and centres on a High School senior who decides to skip school and hang out in downtown Chicago.
