The World War II drama's summer debut will put it up against the latest Final Destination instalment and Jeremy Piven comedy The Goods: The Don Ready Story.
The Inglourious Basterds cast is headed by Brad Pitt as American Lieutenant Aldo Raine, who leads a group of soldiers on a revenge mission against the Nazis. Diane Kruger, Mélanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz, Eli Roth and B.J. Novak also star in the movie.
Tarantino plans to open the film, his first since Death Proof, at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
