The film follows the story of Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera), who has to overcome seven evil ex-boyfriends to win the heart of his dream girl Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead).
Kieran Culkin was last week confirmed for the role of Pilgrim's gay roommate Wallace Wells.
