The pair are said to be on the lookout for a suitable script so they can spend more time together.
A source told Teen Hollywood: "Orlando and Kate have been so busy working on different projects that they hardly get to see each other - especially because he lives in the UK and she lives in the US.
"They think working on a movie together would be the perfect way to keep their relationship going strong."
