Krasinski, who plays Jim Halpert in the NBC comedy, previously worked with Meyers on The Holiday.
The new project's cast already includes Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, Weeds star Hunter Parrish, Lake Bell and Zoe Kazan.
It is not known what role Krasinski will play in the movie, which is based around a love triangle between Streep, Martin and Baldwin.
Meyers's credits include Something's Gotta Give, What Women Want and the Father Of The Bride franchise.
