Pop Idol judge Simon Cowell has described his cameo role in the third Scary Movie film as an "embarrassing mistake."
Cowell - currently gearing up for new UK reality show The X Factor - played himself in a scene spoofing Eminem's 8 Mile but now looks back on it with horror.
"It was so embarrassing," he said. "I was very aware of other people thinking, 'there's the reality TV jerk on the set of our film.' I think I went too far."
