The Traffic writer's latest project is an adaptation of a novel by British author John Stock, which follows the story of a newly-trained spy, who starts an around the world adventure to clear his father's name.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project is intended to be the first in a trilogy, which aims to reinvent the spy genre. The films will apparently mix the grittiness of the Bourne franchise with the humour of John Le Carré's novels.
Terminator Salvation director McG is expected to helm the movie.
