Tabloid reports claimed that the Gavin & Stacey star was being lined up to appear in a British comedy titled The Codfather.
The film is about a "trawler crew who smuggle £10 million of drugs in a consignment of cod", according to The Sun.
Commenting on the rumours, Brydon said on his Twitter page: "Ha ha. No truth whatsoever about me being in a film about fish with Tom Jones and Rhys Ifans."
Jones and Brydon recently collaborated on the Comic Relief charity single 'Barry Islands In The Stream', which is released on March 9.
