According to Variety, the vampire sequel will land in cinemas on June 30, 2010, just seven months after the first Twilight sequel New Moon opens.
Eclipse, which screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg is adapting from Stephenie Meyer's novel, centres on Edward Cullen and Bella Swan attempting to solve a series of murders they suspect a vampire is responsible for.
Second Twilight instalment New Moon will begin production shortly under the direction of Chris Weitz. It is scheduled to arrive in cinemas this November.
Twilight has grossed $363 million at the worldwide box office since its release last year.
