Sergei Bodrov has signed up to direct The Last Photograph, says Variety.
Bodrov, who recently made the Genghis Khan film Mongol, will helm war drama Photograph for Warner Bros and Watchmen director Zack Snyder.
The story, which was hatched by Snyder and his 300 co-writer Kurt Johnstad, centres on two men who are inspired to travel to Afghanistan by a photograph.
Snyder will serve as a producer with partner Deborah Snyder and Gianni Nunnari.
