Ayer to make sci-fi action film 'Last Man'

Last Man focuses on a captain stationed on a distant planet who leads a group of young soldiers into battle against aliens.
20th Century Fox and New Regency tied up a seven-figure deal with Ayer, the screenwriter behind Training Day and Fast And The Furious, to make the movie.
Ayer made his directorial debut in 2005 with the Christian Bale drama Harsh Times and followed it up last year with Street Kings.
