Mathew Horne has described making horror movie Lesbian Vampire Killers with comedy partner James Corden as "one of the best things we've done together".

The Gavin & Stacey star told Radio 5 Live's Simon Mayo: "It was seven weeks of pure fun. It was something that very fortuitously happened to fit in last year's quite busy schedule for both James and I.

"It was one of the best things we've done together. Huge amounts of fun from start to finish, and I suppose the moments when we were covered in goo were the least pleasurable moments."

Corden added that he is "proud" of the movie, claiming that it stood up to comparisons with bigger budget horror efforts: "We don't have a great track history of making good teen horror flicks. What I'm most proud of is that it really does look and feel like a far bigger budget film. Certainly that last hour, it really goes with some pace."

Lesbian Vampire Killers arrives in UK cinemas on March 20.
