Warner Bros revives King's 'It'

Rex Features

Warner Bros has hired Dave Kajganich to write a movie adaptation of Stephen King's It.

Based on the 1986 novel, the story centres on a shape-shifting child killer (called 'It') who terrorises a small town in 1958, then later again in 1985.

ABC turned the book into a miniseries in 1990 with Tim Curry taking on the role of Pennywise, a clown who appeared as It's most common guise.

Kajganich recently penned Invasion for Warner Bros. He is currently working on a remake of Escape From New York.
