Fickman to helm 'Monster Attack Network'

Andy Fickman has signed up to direct Disney's comic book adaptation Monster Attack Network.

Fickman recently teamed up with Disney on the US box office No.1 Race To Witch Mountain.

Monster Attack Newtork is based on a 2007 graphic novel penned by Adam Freeman and Marc Bernardin. The original followed the adventures of a team of first-responders who battle to save the South Pacific island of Lapuatu from frequent monster attack.

Disney's film has moved the location to the American coastline. Scott Elder and Josh Harmon are writing the script.

Fickman's other directing credits include She's The Man and The Game Plan.
