'Twilight' director makes anime hints

Twlight director Catherine Hardwicke has suggested that there might be an anime reworking of the recent movie.

The filmmaker was speaking to lead actor Robert Pattinson during the audio commentary on the recent DVD release of the film.

During the climax of the movie, Pattinson said: "I look Asian in this scene. I do, I look like an anime character."

Hardwicke responded: "Hey, I think there's going to be an anime version of this in Japan. So you will be an anime character."

The director recently penned a companion to the movie entitled Twilight: Director's Notebook, which is released today.
