Clive Owen has denied that the role of James Bond has ever been part of his plans as an actor.

The Duplicity star was asked by thelondonpaper if had ever uttered the catchphrase "Bond, James Bond" in front of a mirror.

Owen replied: "Definitely not. It's never been on my agenda.

"All the talk that was going around was just media speculation and I'm really happy doing what I'm doing."

He added that he has "no idea" about the possibility of a sequel to Sin City but said that he had a "great time" working with director Robert Rodriguez.
