'Thunderbirds' premieres in London
The big-screen version of cult classic Thunderbirds held its UK premiere in London's Leicester Square last night (Sunday).

Among the cast strolling down the red carpet were Sir Ben Kingsley (villain The Hood), Sophia Myles (Lady Penelope) and 15-year-old Brady Corbet (Alan Tracy).

Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson didn't put in an appearance, however, having apparently fallen out with the production team over the live-action version. Anderson is said have walked out at a private screening of the film earlier this year and has since refused to be associated with it.

Speaking on the red carpet, director Jonathan Frakes said he hoped Anderson would be "proud" of what he had done with Anderson's "wonderful" creation.

Thunderbirds opens across the UK this Friday.
