
Nicolas Cage's Knowing has debuted at the top of the US box office.
The sci-fi film's $24 million haul is enough to hold off competition from other new releases I Love You, Man and Julia Roberts/Clive Owen thriller Duplicity, which land at number two and three respectively.
Last week's box office winner Race To Witch Mountain slips to number four, while superhero comic adaptation Watchmen falls to number five.
