Bryan Singer is considering making Mark Wahlberg's vigilante thriller The Prisoners his next directing job.

The script, from unknown writer Aaron Guzikowski, has caused a stir in Hollywood after being likened to The Silence Of The Lambs and Seven.

The story revolves around a Bostan man who becomes a vigilante when his daughter and best friend are kidnapped.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Singer (The Usual Suspects, Valkyrie) said that he has not yet decided if Prisoners will be his next film.

"I don't know yet. But I'm definitely intrigued," he commented. "It's a great script. And I'd love to work with Mark."
