Warners nab action-adventure 'Methuselah'
Published Thursday, Mar 26 2009, 02:14 GMT | By Simon Reynolds

The movie is inspired by the biblical character who lived for 1,000 years. Similarly, Methuselah's hero ages at a slow pace, developing a vast array of survival skills during that time.
Harry Potter's David Heyman, who once employed Watkins as a development executive, will produce the movie.
Watkins told Variety of the project: "What I wanted was to come up with an adrenalised thriller that has a bit of intelligence and resonance. My relationship with David was fundamental to this outcome, and Warner Bros president Kevin McCormick just understood the elevated action thriller I'm trying to make."
British filmmaker Watkins made his directorial debut last year with horror movie Eden Lake. He is also a co-writer on the forthcoming Descent: Part 2.
