Jim Sturgess has admitted that he is being kept in the dark about a role in musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark.
The 21 star has been linked with the superhero part in the Broadway stage show, which is being helmed by his Across The Universe director Julie Taymor and will star Evan Rachel Wood as Mary-Jane Watson.
"It's all sort of in talks at the moment," Sturgess told DS at the 2009 Empire Awards. "It's a mad thing! I don't know what's going on with it, but I know Julie Taymor's a genius in my mind so whatever she pulls together is going to be amazing."
Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, with songs and lyrics by U2 pair Bono and The Edge, will open at New York's Hilton Theatre on February 18, 2010.
