Emily Browning has replaced Amanda Seyfried in Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch, reports Variety.

The Australian actress, who can next be seen in horror film The Uninvited, secured the part after Seyfried dropped out due to her commitment to HBO drama Big Love.

The Warner Bros movie centres on inmates at an all-girl insane asylum who slip into a fantasy reality to escape incarceration. Director Snyder (Watchmen) has called the project "Alice In Wonderland with machine guns".

Browning will play the role of Baby Doll, with Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Evan Rachel Wood and Emma Stone also among the cast.
