'Twilight' is best-selling DVD of the year

The blockbuster vampire movie surpassed animated children’s sequel Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa as the most popular DVD release of 2009, WENN reports.
Twilight, which stars Robert Pattinson as a teen bloodsucker, sold 5.6 million DVD and Blu-Ray discs in its first week of release to US audiences.
The success of the film’s DVD release follows its huge take at the box office, where it achieved estimated worldwide earnings of $376 million.
New Moon, the highly anticipated sequel to Twilight, is due out later this year.
