According to Entertainment Weekly, the British actor is eyeing the role of Roque, a black ops commando. The thriller centres on a group of Special Forces agents who seek revenge against the government that betrayed them.
Sylvain White (Stomp The Yard) will direct the movie from a script by Zodiac writer James Vanderbilt.
Elba's recent big screen roles include Guy Ritchie's Rocknrolla and horror film The Unborn. He is currently appearing in The Office as a Dunder-Mifflin executive.
