Kidman, Eckhart go to 'Rabbit Hole'

Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart will star in a movie version of Pulitzer Prize-winning stage play Rabbit Hole.

According to Production Weekly, the pair will play the leads in the adaptation of the David Lindsay-Abaire work for director John Cameron Mitchell.

The story revolves around a couple, Becca and Howie, who struggle to cope with the death of their son in a road accident. When the driver of the car that killed their son contacts them seeking closure, further strain is put on their relationship.

Mitchell previously directed rock comedy Hedwig And The Angry Inch and the explicit Shortbus.

Lindsay-Abaire is currently scripting Spider-Man 4 for Sam Raimi.
